In the midst of the transitional stagnation of the coronary period, the Modi government, according to its promise, introduced the much-awaited new education policy on Wednesday. See, after this comma, when all the educational institutions are busy looking at their overview and finding new avenues of teaching and learning, this policy, which replaces the old education system of 1979, is going to bring a complete change in the development path of the students.

As stated, the new education system will not create unemployment. This will be a very encouraging thing for a country struggling with unemployment. Especially when in today’s global circumstances we are moving towards self-sufficiency. For this, there will be a provision to provide vocational and skill development training to students from class six onwards. Whereas by joining education in the mother tongue up to the primary level, where balanced development of the fundamental interest of the student will be possible, it will also strengthen the spirit of national unity and collectivity.

It is also encouraging to make research work easier in the new education system, this will allow all otherwise repressed talents to emerge ‘in time’. The ultimate success of general teaching, or rather its real purpose — is to develop the aptitude to know the unknown on the basis of what is known. The innovations of researchers provide a new power and potential to society. Especially today as our steps are moving towards a domestic self-sufficient system, investment in research and development is capable of producing miraculous results. Further, it becomes the responsibility of the government to collect the necessary facilities for this. Formation of institutions like the National Research Foundation is a promising step in this regard.

The most important thing in the new education policy is to go beyond literal or paper and theoretical things, emphasis on practical training of students. So that along with learning, the aptitude of application in the life of acquired knowledge also develops in the students. At the same time, it is also a hopeful initiative that the assessment of the student will now include the assessment done by his classmate beside his teacher, and his own introspection. It is related to the art of harmonizing others in their society, and also with themselves. Basically, education teaches us to live. In this way, it makes us aware of ourselves, and the rest of the world relative to us. So in today’s economic era, it is only natural, but rather inevitable, that our education system should be employment-oriented. Nevertheless, the real purpose of existing education for life or its continued progress is not limited here only. Along with the livelihood, the aim of life, the possibilities of progress in that consciousness, and the practical skills required for it, to awaken the sensation of knowing and understanding is also a fundamental objective of education. This is obviously a moral question, which is needed by today’s prestigious educational institutions to find solutions.

Education virtually creates a mature and progressive member of society. Moreover, society is a larger school, rather real and vibrant. Normal schools are part of this society. Significantly, traditional education makes us socially powerful, in the sense of knowledge. But in order to arouse the wisdom of using this power, the internal enhancement that is necessary for a person to undergo, there is no place for any supplement in his education system. In reality, education not only has to break the encyclopedias present in the child but also has to show the direction of regeneration of that energy. Even seeing this from the perspective of the rich past of the nation, we see immense possibilities. However, perhaps due to the effects of markets, today’s general education mainly provides the skills of a ‘machined human’ that can be run by someone else, not the moral discretion of the individual to decide for themselves. However, the all-time aim of education is to make a person fit for the use of society, in which the livelihood of that person is also inherent. But under the influence of consumerist culture, our educational system is somewhat molded in this structure, in which the individual’s own development is neglected. Let us say that the IQ of the new generation, ie, intelligence increases, but our emotional intelligence remains almost primitive. Traditional education has no edge over it. Then it becomes natural for highly educated terrorists to be born. As it is today.

In short, this is what education teaches us — how we can fulfill people’s needs. And the underlying thing remains in this, that in the same way, we can fulfill our needs in this society better. But perhaps under the contagious influence of consumer culture, our educational system today seems to fail or careless in progressing beyond this common desire-fulfilling exchange relationship of the individual and society. We have to understand that if objective education is a crime for the society, then subjective education for the person. And society is ultimately a group of individuals; The progressive progress of which is the undisclosed goal of any education policy. So, our public education-policies have to balance this. There is still enough time to brainstorm on it in the Coronas…
